Directed by Emma Parkinson, The New Dutch Masters is the official launch film for WorldPride 2026 in Amsterdam - the world’s largest LGBTQIA+ event. The campaign is a modern tribute to the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age, reimagined through queer visibility and community.
Over 70% of the crew and cast identified as LGBTQIA+, ensuring authentic storytelling both on and off screen. The film begins in intimate black and white portraits before transforming into a technicolour celebration of individuality, pride, and queer joy. It culminates in a powerful group tableau; a modern remix of the Dutch Masters, featuring official Pride Amsterdam ambassadors and a collective of queer voices.
This passion project reflects Parkinson’s distinctive style: theatrical art direction, choreography, and a celebration of identity. Beyond the hero film, the campaign included short-form edits, behind-the-scenes stories, and cast portraits, engaging communities worldwide in the lead-up to WorldPride 2026.
